Onboarding & Cori tour

When you first sign in, Asan CRM walks you through a quick onboarding wizard and an interactive tour guided by Cori, your AI sales coach. Here is what to expect and how to revisit it later.

The onboarding wizard

The onboarding wizard runs automatically the first time you log in after creating your account. It takes about two minutes and sets up the essentials so you can start working right away.

  1. Business details. Enter your business name and select your timezone. Asan CRM uses the timezone for calling-hours enforcement (so you never call a lead at 2 AM) and for scheduling meetings in the correct local time.
  2. Phone number (optional). Search for a local phone number by area code. Your first US or Canadian number is free on every plan. If you skip this step, you can buy a number later from the Phone Numbers page.
  3. Invite team members (optional). If you are on a team plan, you can invite agents by email right away. They will receive an invite link and go through their own onboarding when they sign up.
You can change everything you enter during onboarding later. Business name and timezone live in Settings → Company, phone numbers in Phone Numbers, and team members in Users.

Cori's guided tour

After the wizard, Cori offers an interactive tour of the app. The tour highlights the key areas you will use every day:

Each tour step includes a brief explanation and a "Next" button to advance. You can skip the tour at any time — it does not affect your account setup.

Sales personality assessment

Starting on your first day, Cori invites you to take a short personality assessment. This helps Cori understand your natural selling style and personalize coaching tips, greetings, and follow-up suggestions.

Day 1Cori asks 3 questions in the daily welcome modal. After answering, she reveals your initial personality type (e.g., The Hunter, The Closer, The Connector).
Day 2Cori asks 2 follow-up questions to refine your profile across six dimensions: Drive, Grit, Speed, EQ, Discipline, and Flexibility.
Day 3Cori asks 2 final questions. Your full personality radar chart is now complete.

Once the assessment is complete, you can view your full profile and radar chart in Settings → Selling Style. Cori uses your type to shape her coaching — a high-Drive "Hunter" gets different tips than a high-EQ "Connector."

The personality assessment is optional. If you dismiss the questions, Cori still works — she just uses general coaching instead of personalized advice. You can start or restart the assessment from Settings → Selling Style at any time.

Re-triggering the tour

If you skipped the tour during onboarding, or if you want to see it again after learning more about the app, you can restart it:

  1. Go to Settings from the sidebar.
  2. Scroll to the Help & Support section.
  3. Click "Restart Cori tour." The guided tour begins again from the dashboard.

Re-triggering the tour does not reset any of your data or settings — it simply replays the walkthrough.

Onboarding for team members

When you invite a team member, they receive an email with a link to create their account. Their onboarding is streamlined:

I skipped the tour — can I get it back?+
Yes. Go to Settings → Help & Support and click "Restart Cori tour." It replays from the beginning without affecting your data.
Can I skip the personality assessment?+
Yes. Dismiss the questions when they appear. Cori will use general coaching tips instead of personalized ones. You can start the assessment later from Settings → Selling Style.
Does the onboarding wizard appear for invited team members?+
A simplified version appears. Business details are pre-filled from the organization, so they only need to set up their personal preferences and optionally claim a phone number.
How long does onboarding take?+
The wizard takes about two minutes. The Cori tour adds another two to three minutes if you complete all the steps. The personality assessment is spread across three days (a few questions each day).
Can I change my personality type later?+
You can retake the assessment from Settings → Selling Style. Your old results are replaced with the new ones, and Cori adapts her coaching accordingly.
