Wallet & credits
Your wallet is a prepaid balance that covers usage beyond your plan limits. Top up in seconds and never worry about service interruptions.
Topping up your wallet
- Go to Settings → Wallet & Purchases. Your current balance is displayed at the top.
- Choose an amount. Select from $10, $25, $50, or $100.
- Click Top Up. Payment is charged to the card on file. The balance is available immediately — no waiting period.
If you run high call volume, start with a $50 or $100 top-up so you have a comfortable buffer. You can always add more later.
How overage billing works
Each plan includes a set amount of voice minutes, SMS messages, and email sends. When you exhaust a plan allowance mid-cycle, Asan automatically deducts overage from your wallet at per-unit rates — no manual action required.
- Plan allowance runs out. For example, you use all 2,000 voice minutes on the Pro plan.
- Next call is billed to wallet. The per-minute overage rate is deducted from your wallet balance in real time.
- You keep working. As long as your wallet has funds, there is no interruption to service.
Overage only applies after your plan's included usage is fully consumed. Plan allowances reset each billing cycle.
Overage rates
| Resource | Per-unit rate |
|---|---|
| Voice minutes (US/CA) | $0.02/min |
| SMS messages (US/CA) | $0.01/msg |
| Email sends | $0.001/email |
| AI transcription | $0.01/min |
International voice and SMS rates vary by country and follow Twilio's published rate card. The exact rate is shown in the dialer before you place an international call.
Low balance alerts
Asan sends you alerts so you are never caught off guard:
- $5 remaining — an in-app notification and email remind you to top up.
- $2 remaining — a more urgent warning appears with a direct link to the top-up page.
- $0 balance — overage features pause. You can still access your CRM, leads, and data, but outbound calls, SMS, and emails beyond your plan limits are paused until you add funds.
When your wallet hits $0, overage-dependent features pause immediately. Top up or upgrade your plan to resume.
Transaction history
Every wallet transaction is logged on the Wallet & Purchases page. You can see:
- Top-up amounts and dates.
- Individual overage deductions with the resource type and quantity.
- Referral credits received (see Referral program).
- Running balance after each transaction.
Frequently asked
Can I get a refund on my wallet balance?+
Wallet balances are non-refundable but never expire. If you cancel your subscription, the balance remains available if you resubscribe later.
Does my wallet balance expire?+
No. Your wallet balance carries over indefinitely, even across billing cycles or plan changes.
What happens if a call costs more than my remaining balance?+
The call connects and the balance goes slightly negative for that transaction. You will be prompted to top up before the next overage event.
Can I set up auto-recharge?+
Auto-recharge is not available yet. For now, top up manually when you receive a low-balance alert. We are working on adding automatic reloads in a future update.
How do referral credits appear in my wallet?+
When a referral qualifies, $25 is added to your wallet automatically. The transaction appears in your history labeled "Referral credit." See Referral program for details.
